A little while ago I got an email asking if I wanted to be part of JORD fall campaign and I sure didn't need to think twice before I answered a big yes! JORD is a company that makes gorgeous wood wrist watches and you might remember my previous JORD post almost year ago when I received the Fieldcrest series Zebrawood & Maple for review. I've loved that beautiful wood watch ever since and I've worn it constantly only taking it off when I sleep. I also didn't need to think this twice as JORD had something nice in store for all my lovely readers too, so be sure to check out this whole post. ;)

This time I chose the Cora series Koa & Rose Gold for review for two main reasons. Firstly, it's automatic and I've wanted an automatic watch for quite a while. Secondly, I wanted something little bit different from the Zebrawood Fieldcrest that I already have. These Cora series watches are a bit more decorative and have slightly more bling in them, though they aren't still anything too over the top. Also the beautiful Koa wood is a bit darker than the Zebrawood in my Fieldcrest.
I was a bit hesitant about those swarovski crystal markers in these Cora series watches. I was afraid that they'd make the watch too blingy for everyday use. But they really aren't anything like that, the overall look of the watch to me is really classy and elegant. It probably needless to say that I've worn this watch every day ever since I got it.
Like I said, these Cora series watches are automatic, so they don't require batteries. It's self-winding so it just keeps going if you keep using it. However, if you don't use it for couple days (about 36 hours) it'll stop and you'll need to rewind it. This isn't really anything too hard to do. The movement is Sea-Gull ST6103K and you get to see all the beautiful details of the movement from the see-trough glass panel on the back of the watch and also that tiny little window on the front side of the watch. I've found myself staring all the beautiful details and the movement several times, it's quite hypnotizing actually!
As this is still mainly a nail blog, I of course wanted to do a nail art look that would compliment my new Cora Koa & Rose Gold watch. And yes, I used once again Essie Sand Tropez for this... I can't help it, it's so pretty! I did two coats with Sand Tropez and then I dabbed some glitters from Essie A Cut Above to make this glitter gradient look.
I had actually planned to go to a little hike to Koli and I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone by taking the watch with me to this hike, so I'd be able to get some gorgeous autumn pictures of the watch with the iconic Finnish landscape. Well, that didn't really happen as I planned as it was incredibly foggy that day and we didn't see any of the views as we could only see couple feet ahead. Oh well, I still got some foggy autumn pictures with the watch for you guys...
It's safe to say that I really love this watch and the whole JORD brand. I've gotten so many compliments about my watch already when I wore the Fieldcrest one and also now that I have this Cora. JORD has a really wide selection of both women's watches and men's watches, there's definitely something for everybody. The prizes range from little over $100 to almost $300 and these Cora series watches are $275, so it's probably not something you'd buy on a whim. But it would be a great way to indulge yourself and we all need that sometimes, don't we. Or if you're trying to find a perfect gift for special someone, JORD watches are definitely something to consider.
Well, I did promise something nice for all you guys too, didn't I?!
