Holy Dotticure

I should finally try to get back into blogging rythm without the #ablecs15 challenge. It just seems so hard to do when you don't have something telling you what to do and when to do it. But at least I have some simple nail art to share with you guys today!

This is actually a mani that I did a while back, but didn't have time to post it, so I thought now would be the perfect time to finally share this one too. Actually this is pretty much the only thing I can post right now if I don't want to post unedited pictures. For some reason my laptop decided that it doesn't want to work with me anymore... It doesn't start at all, so I had to take to maintenance. I'm pretty sure that they will be able to fix it since it's only a little over year old, or at least I hope they can. Sooo, I don't currently have the laptop, so I can't really edit my pictures. Thankfully I've learned a bit after my previous laptop stoped working, so I do have backups of all my files and pictures and all that. So as soon as I get the laptop back, it all should be fine. I did have this pictures ready, so at least I'm able to do this post for you in the meantime.

Yet once again I needed something easy, quick and work-appropriate on my nails and as I have been quite close friends with my dotting tool lately, I decided to do a simple dotticure. I used Color Club Who Are You Wearing as my base color and for the dots I used three different polishes: A England Saint George, China Glaze Techno Teal and Dance Legend Holy Diver.

Unfortunately Color Club's Who Are You Wearing wasn't really the best choice as a base color for easy and quick manicure as it was everything but easy and quick to apply. It needed four(!!) coats for full coverage and the outcome still wasn't really smooth. Thankfully a generous coat of Glisten&Glow HK Girl top coat fixed the situation a bit and I was able to finish the dotticure. I have plenty of nude-ish polishes with better formula, coverage and application, so I already got rid of this one. Sorry Color Club, but me and Who Are You Wearing didn't really become friends at all.

I do really love these three green-ish holographic polishes combined together, I think they look really stunning! I love the fact that Holy Diver looks sooo sparkly and the other two are really gorgeous too even if they are a bit more muted compared to Holy Diver. This kind of dotticure is so easy to do and I think that it's really a great look. Quick, easy and pretty, what else would you need?!

Products used for this manicure
Base coat: Sally Hansen Nail Rehab
Polishes: Color Club Who Are You Wearing (4 coats); A England Saint George, China Glaze Techno Teal and Dance Legend Holy Diver (dots)
Top coat: Glisten&Glow HK Girl
Others: dotting tool

What do you guys think of simple look like this, is it boring or pretty?
