Look, it's only Monday and I'm already posting my first challenge mani of this week, yay! *Happy dance* Hopefully I'll be able to keep this going until the end of the challenge, so that I don't fall back to the old pattern of posting the challenge manicures just barely in time. But hey, it's already week seven of the challenge, time certainly just flies by! This weeks themes are My Most Used Polish and Pastels, and since I've been stuck with the pattern of doing the latter one always first, I thought I should just stick with that. So I have my pastel mani to share with you guys today.
I actually got the inspiration for this mani from another previous mani of mine, the music inspired Polishers Inc. creation that I did just couple weeks ago. Back then I did an accent nail with a rainbow pastel gradient, but this time I didn't want to do all the rainbow colors, so I just went with three of them. They are really soft shades, so the gradient isn't that obvious but it's there. I actually did it a bit angled just to give a fun look to the manicure.
I first painted my nails with a coat of white polish to make to soft pastel colors to pop out at least somewhat. I used OPI Angel with a Leadfoot for that. Then I did the gradient using Essie Go Ginza and Zoya Blu and Neely. I had sponge quite a few times to get the colors to show up. Then I topped all my nails with a coat of KBShimmer I Only Have Ice For You and added a coat of quick drying top coat. Finally I added some bow vinyl stickers from Vinyl It Up on my middle and ring finger nails and also some silver rhinestones over the bows.
I really love this look, it's so soft and delicate! It kinda reminded me a little bit of My Little Ponies or something like that, but I'm pretty sure almost all pastel manicures do the same thing. Those bow vinyls are really great too, way better than any regular nail stickers!
