The Nail Polish Battle series is back and infact I have two battles for your guys today!
First battle is between two beautiful coral pinks: in the left corner we have the subtle shimmery OPI Suzi's Hungary Again! and in the right corner the juicy creme Zoya Wendy. Suzi's Hungary Again! will definitely have to bring its best as Wendy was listed as one of my favorite 2014 polishes. Will Suzi have what it takes? Keep reading and find out!
The second battle is between two deliciuous peachy cremes: the tasty orange mango OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? and the summery coral Essie Tart Deco. These are definitely not dupes, so the battle will be interesting. Will one of them beat the other or will we have a tide? Let's see about that!
As you can see Wendy and Suzi's Hungary Again! are both really similar, so this is going to be a tight battle. However, they aren't really dupes as the OPI one is a slightly darker and a bit more colder toned compared to the Zoya. They are both quite warm toned pinks, but Wendy is s bit more coral than Suzi.
I used three coats of OPI Suzi's Hungary Again and two coats of Zoya Wendy. Wendy has a bit thicker formula than Suzi, but they both applied pretty similarly though the OPI one needed the third coat for full coverage as it is a bit more sheer. I felt also that Wendy has a bit better self-leveling formula compared to Suzi.
Suzi's Hungary Again! has that subtle shimmer in it, but it doesn't really show up on nails too much and I couldn't really capture it in my pictures. You can see a bit of that in the bottle in that picture below.
Overall I really love this color on me, it looks very summery and so juicy and bright! I'm usually more into colder toned colors, but Wendy has really vowed me and I prefer the slightly warmer tone of it. Also I think the formula of it was a bit better out of these two and it's no secret that I also prefer Zoya over OPI. So eventhough Suzi's Hungary Again! was a great competitor and it gave its best, I'm going to stick with Wendy.
Final verdict: Wendy wins and Suzi's Hungary Again! has to find a new home!
For the second battle I chose two peachy cremes, though of course these are definitely not dupes. I'm not too good at wearing these type of colors and I don't really need both of these, so I wanted to see how they compare and if I would prefer one over the other.
OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? is a peachy orange and it makes me think of mangos as the name suggests (I don't like the name that much, but it's not really the point here). Essie Tart Deco could be described as peachy coral. They are both really bright and sunny colors, perfect for summer and spring.
I used two coats of OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? and it seemed to have pretty perfect formula. It was very easy to apply! Essie Tart Deco was a bit more sheer and streaky, so I needed three thin coats for full coverage, but it was also still quite easy to apply. I really like both of these, but somehow I felt like Man-go didn't really suit my skintone, so I think Tart Deco is more suitable for me. Also I'm quite charmed with color of Tart Deco, it's so pretty!
By the way, Tart Deco looks quite pink compared to Man-go, but it's clearly more peachy/orange coral compared to the more pinkish corals like Zoya Wendy:
Even if Man-go had a bit better formula, I'm going to go with the color I really loved more.
Final verdict: Essie Tart Deco stays and OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? has to go!
Which ones were your favorite?
