I have one final post about the Finnish(able) Nail Art Challenge for you guys! Today we are looking back to all those 32 manicures.
In one picture those 32 manicures look like a lot! But devided in 16 weeks it was certainly doable and - as the name suggested - totally finishable. I think it was a fun journey and as I've said before, the challenge did what it was supposed to do as it made me do way more nail art than I think I would have normally done and more importantly it challenged me to do some stuff that I might not have done without it.
I managed to do not one but two stamping manicures (plus one stamping decal manicure) for the challenge which is quite lot if you consider the fact that I suck at stamping and I don't really enjoy it. It also made me try new things like the quatrefoil technique and newspaper nails, and also way more freehand painting.
Quite a few of these ended up in my list of favorite manicures of 2014 but I thought I'd still list some of my favorite challenge manicures here too.
The challenge started with the theme Something New and those quatrefoil nails are certainly one of my favorite nail that I did for this challenge. It was the first time I tried the technique and I've been wanting do it again ever since.
The Neon look was something I had wanted to do for a while and I really loved those nails.
The Heart Of Autumn was the first theme of the challenge that made me do some freehand nail art and I thought the outcome was pretty neat.
I think both Love This Technique and My Blog have something in common or at least they both look very me and it's no wonder I really loved them both. Also Tape 'Em seems to have something similar in it and even if I wasn't really sure if I liked it or not when I made it, it sure looks quite pretty looking back.
As Seen On TV was certainly one of my favorite challenge manicures or it might even be the favorite one. It turned out just as I wanted it!
The black and white marble tiles inspired manicure for Black & White was something I had really wanted to try for a while too and I liked the manicure very much even if it didn't look just as I imagined it would. The Place To Be was also the theme I had waited for from the beginning of the challenge and I finally got to make my Adriatic Sea manicure and I'm still very much in love with it!
Finally I think the both manicures of the last week of the challenge were pretty great. New Year's Eve one was certainly appropriate for the occasion and I tried to do something a bit more special for the last Gold or Silver theme.
I have to admit that I was quite busy after the midpoint of the challenge as I had many other things to do and also went on a vacation. It shows as I did few more simple manicures after that and it seems that I ended up doing four that look like saran wrap ones... But still I'm really happy with everything I did and tried even if some aren't as succesful as the others.
The one thing I enjoyed most about this challenge was the fact that so many of you decided to participate and it made the whole thing so much more fun and special! It was so nice to see all your manicures for all the different themes. I've been eagerly using the linkups and visiting all your blogs and instagram accounts to see all the manicures and I've certainly enjoyed them all, so big thanks to everyone who participated!
Did you guys enjoy this challenge and which one of the manicures was your favorite?
