Hi guys! I have been a little sick past couple days, so I have just been sporting my Independence manicure. Today I thought I'd share my simple vacation manicure with you and hopefully I'll feel well enough tomorrow in order to start with those challenge manicures of this week.
Anyhow, I always want to keep my vacation manicures as simple as possible and preferably wear something nude or nude-ish, so if the polish chips or wears a bit, it's not too noticeable. I also shortened my nails quite a bit before heading to my vacation, because I thought they might survive it a bit better if they were shorter.
This time I chose a Dange Legend polish for my vacation manicure, this is one of those Anna Gorelova polishes called Kot Baun (Cote Bayun) and these do have pretty much the cutest polish bottles ever! Just look at that owl!
Kote Baun is quite sheer on it's own, so I used one coat of Essie Sand Tropez under it and then I did two thin coats of Kot Baun. I think it might have needed a third one, but I was a bit in a hurry, so I just went with two. Though then again, I think this would also look really good on it's own with only two or three coats as then you'd have that sheer look, or even as a french manicure polish.
I really like this polish, it's a beautiful beige nude with holographic silver glitter. Very subtle polish, but still so stunning! And it looks gorgeous in the sun because of those holographic particles, so it was truly a perfect choice for vacation manicure.
