Oh my, it's Friday already and I haven't posted any challenge manicures this week, so it's definitely about time to start! I chose to do the Pretty In Pink manicure first, because obviously the Independence manicure is meant for tomorrow as it is Finland's Indepence Day. As I've been really busy and almost didn't have time to do this pink manicure at all, I decided to keep it very simple and just go with two beautiful lacquers and simple glitter gradient.
I used two coats of Zoya Kimber as my base color and I did the glitter gradient with Essie Rock at the Top, which is the second one of the new Luxeffects glitters (I used the other one in this manicure already).
Like I said, this was really simple manicure, but sometimes the simplest things seem to work just as well and I really loved this manicure! Zoya Kimber is just a stunning pink with golden shimmer and it has been waiting to get on my nails for way too long. I got it from our meet last spring and I meant to use it in summer as it's truly summery pink, but somehow I never did. It was about time to try it, so I thought it would be the perfect pink for this pink manicure.
Essie Luxeffects glitters are really my favorite glitter toppers, so I'm really happy that there is a golden one now also. Rock at the Top is beautiful and once again like with all the other similar Luxeffects this one also has the perfect mix of smaller and bigger glitters. It's perfect topper with one coat. It was also really easy to use for this glitter gradient, I just brushed those glitters on my nails with a semi dry brush and that was it!
Oh and in case you were wondering, I shortened my nails quite a bit for my vacation as I thought they might survive it better that way. Unfortunately I still managed to break couple corners, but other than that my nails survived pretty well.
Now I'll have to go and figure out my manicure for tomorrow, at least choosing the colors won't be too difficult...
