Today I have a pretty cool nail art tool to share with you guys! I just recently got these smART nail art stencils for review and today I'm sharing my thoughts about them and also this manicure I did using them.
I'll tell you a bit about the stencils first and then I will get back to this manicure.
As the name of the product says these are pretty handy stencils that will help you easily create some nail art. I got to choose eight designs for review and I received the letter with the stencils about week after shipping, so they arrived pretty quickly! I have to say that I wasn't really 100 percent sold judging from their website, but when these arrived the neat packaging and the product itself totally won me over.
The stencils arrived in this neat booklet, every one of those eight designs fixed to the booklet. I'm usually more into simple nail art, lines and flowers, so I chose those kind of stencils for me. They have quite a few designs and they are actually launching new design every week, so there will be even plenty more in the future!
All of the stencils come in these similar packages where you have 10 pieces and each one costs $1.99. Ten doesn't sound that much, it's one manicure if you do the design on each nail, BUT you can reuse them at least couple of times, so that's pretty good!
They are really flexible, so you can easily apply them on your nails even if you have quite curvy nails like I do. They stick on quite well, so I'm pretty sure you wont have a problem with your polish going under the stencil and ruining your design. Also the fact that they are a bit see-through helps since you can easily see if some part isn't attached to your nail properly.
So for my first manicure I chose to use this three single chevron design as I thought this would be a fun way to compare them a bit to those very popular nail vinyls as chevron manicures have become so popular using those.
I think these worked really well, just as well as all the nail vinyls I have tried. These are slightly thinner than for example NailVinyls from @teismom, but I think that made these stencils even easier to use than the vinyls. Also I love the fact that you have the three chevrons in one single stencil, that way you don't have to struggle for lining them with each other.
For this manicure I used three coats of WingDust Ocean Tears for my index and pinky nails and three coats of OPI I Vant To Be A-Lone Star. The stencil design that I used is P064 and I painted the chevron lines using China Glaze Sexy In the City. I topped my design with one coat of top coat and I was bit too eager with that and managed to smudge the design slightly, but that was completely my own fault.
Overall I really liked these smART Nail Art Stencils and I think they offer a great option for easy nail art! I quickly counted that they currently have 67 different designs in their catalogue right and as I said, they will have a new one each week.
They also have a special offer this month, with a coupon code NOV25 you can get 25% off from any stencils. Worldwide shipping is $5.00 regardless of how many designs you buy.
You can buy these directly from their own smART Nail Art Stencils website.
What do you guys think about these, does they seem like something you'd like to try?Disclosure: I have gotten these polishes for review. For more information view my disclosure policy.
