I haven't done any swatch spam posts lately, so I thought it would be about time to do one! This time I wanted to share you with my swatches of my most recent KBShimmer polishes, so it's going to be all KBShimmers in this post. Just while ago I ordered some polishes from KBShimmer's recent and not so recent collections (fall, summer and spring) from Harlow&Co. since I hadn't really bought any of these polishes lately. I also bought one KBShimmer secondhand, so I added that one to this post too.
A Raisin To Live For has a deep raisin colored jelly base and with lots of sparkling holographic glitter. This one is such a gorgeous polish, it has to be one of my favorite polishes of this year! I have two coats here with base and top coat as I used this as a base color for my sparkle manicure. If you don't own this already, I highly recommend that you go and buy it immediately, it's truly stunning!
Make My Gray is from the spring collection and it has a light grey jelly base with plenty of glitters in turquoise, gunmetal, pale aqua and coral. This is beautiful mix of glitters, colors and jelly base. Eventhough I have tried to restrict myself from bying too many of these glitter/jelly mixes since there is only so few things that you can use these for, I just had to have this. I love those bright glitters against the grey base. I used three coats here (with top coat to even it out) but I think this would work perfectly layered over some light grey creme and then you would need to use only one or two coats.
I'm always looking for that perfect minty holographic, so Mint-al Vacation was really a must-have for me. I have three coats here with base and top coat. This is a beautiful color, but for me it leans too much towards grey as I would like my minty holographic be clearly more minty. I'm not so sure if that can happen though, since I know that if you want to make and proper holographic polish, those holographic particles will chance the color. But one can always wish!
Another holographic is this one called Rust No One from the fall collection. As for this - I'm so in love with the color! It's really a perfect rusty orange leaning towars red, stunning! I have three coats here, no base or top coat. It's a bit hard to get that holographic effect to show since I haven't seen sun for quite a while here, but believe me, this is a gorgeous polish.
The Grape Beyond is a little bit older one. It's a purple matte polish with subtle turquoise shimmer. The shimmer is a bit more visible when you apply top coat (the second picture), but it's still very subtle. I have three coats here and the consistency of this was a bit watery and it applied a bit patchy with the first two coats. The third coat leveled it out nicely though. It's a beautiful purple hue that has a bit of murky look especially when it's matte. This was designed to work specifically as a base color for the other polish of the set, glittery topper called Would Jubilee It? but I don't own that one. Then again, The Grape Beyond works just fine alone too.
Which one of these is your favorite?
