IsaDora Coffee & Poetry - Swatches and Review

Today I have the IsaDora Coffee and Poetry fall collection polishes to share with you guys!

I actually went and bought that Coffee & Poetry eyeshadow palette first for myself since I thought it was sooo gorgeous! I also saw all the four nail polishes of this collection at the store and I thought they looked all so pretty that I just couldn't figure out which one to buy. Then I went online to search some swatches of these and noticed there weren't too many, so finally I thought I should really ask them for review in order to share them with you guys too. I'm so happy that I got them all, since I was originally probably only going to buy Autumn Leaves from this collection and then I would have really missed out on one polish that immediately became my favorite when I got it on my nails. But I'll tell you soon enough which one of these it is, so let's just take a look at the swatches.

Autumn Leaves was the first one that caught my eye from this collection, mainly because of that gorgeous shimmer. And surely I wasn't disappointed with it when I got it on my nails. I have two coats here, no base or top coat and I have to say that this one was so easy to apply that I can't even believe it. I was kinda expecting to have to do even three coats for full coverage since these type of shimmers can often be quite sheer, but no, this is so pigmented it almost covered with just one coat.

Unfortunately though somehow my camera didn't want to capture the true beauty of this one. I'd say it looks more purple in real life and that shimmer really shines more than in my pictures.

The first two pictures I have taken in my light box, but this last one is in natural lighting, in shade. The polish looks completely different this way, but also quite gorgeous!

If you were wondering which was the one that instantly became my favorite, well then, it's this one! This is two coats of Belle Beige, this time with base and top coat since I wore this as a full manicure. I really thought I had already found my perfect nude in OPI's Don't Bossa Nove Me Around, but this Belle Beige completely changed that! This has to be the most gorgeous nude-ish polish that I have ever owned and I'd say it worked quite perfectly with my skintone.

The thing that made this polish even more awesome was the formula and quality of it. It only needed two coats for full coverage and those two coats basically applied themselves. Yeah, so this really is a pretty perfect polish both colorwise and qualitywise.

Then the next one is called Black Coffee and I have again two coats here, no base or top coat. I wasn't so sure if I would like this one since I'm not a big fan of dark almost black looking polishes. But this surprised me a bit and I quite like it! This color is quite interesting, it looks black in some lighting, purpleish in some lighting and even a bit green in some lighting.

This didn't have the same awesome coverage than Autumn Leaves or Belle Beige had, but it still managed to cover with two coats. My coats were a bit on the thick side, so if you do very thin coats, then I think you might need a third one.

Then I only have the last one of this collection left, this purple beauty is called Purple Prune and once again, I have two coats here, no base or top coat. This one was also a bit sheer, maybe the sheerest of them all, so you might need a third coat with this one too.

I thought this one looked like quite a gorgeous purple in the bottle but unfortunately it looks a bit more darker on nails. I think I would have prefered it like it looks in the bottle. Nevertheless, it's still a beautiful polish and very fall appropriate.

All in all I really liked these IsaDora fall collection polishes. There were two that were certainly my favorites, Autumn Leaves and Belle Beige. Belle Beige might even be my all time favorite nude(ish) polish. I also liked Black Coffee quite much, I was really fascinated by its color. Purple Prune wasn't a big hit for me, but I think there's a place for in it this collection and I'm sure there are many that will love it. To me Belle Beige is really a must-have from this collection and if you can, you should really grab it! If you are a shimmer girl like me, then you should also check out at least Autumn Leaves.

Which one of these is your favorite?

*Disclosure: I have gotten all four of these IsaDora nail polishes for review. For more information view my disclosure policy.

  4. Given that the eyeshadows looks amazing (*___*), polishically speaking Autumn Leaves would have been my only pick too, even if Purple Prune looks really intriguing.
I'm quite sure Autumn Leaves is the shimmery version of a couple of textured polishes I own *__* it's my kind of shade!
