Zoya Zenith Collection: Cassedy, Dream, Payton and Seraphina

This is a scheduled post as Im currently (hopefully) enjoying a little vacation. I'll answer your comments as soon as I get back, so feel free to comment as much as you want.

I have four Zoya Zenith collection polishes to show you guys today!

I got these four for review from NailCity and these were the ones that interested me most from this Zoya holiday collection. These are of course from left to right Seraphina, Cassedy, Dream and Payton.

I used two coats of each polish for these pictures, no base or top coat.

First one is Cassedy and this one was almost one coater, but I did two just to be safe. Cassedy is a metallic pewter and the formula was really nice, so this was very easy to apply. I really like the metallic look of this one!

Next one is Dream, a deep blue scattered holo. This is absolutely my favorite one from this collection and it's also probably one of my all time favorite polishes! If you are only going to get one polish from this collection, get this!

This one is called Payton and it's a dark purple scattered holo with a jelly base. This one is also a really gorgeous one! There were still some spots that might have needed more polish, so I think you'll be safe with three coats with this polish.

Last one is called Seraphina, which is a silver metallic shimmer with a hint of grey. I really liked this one too, though also with this you could need another coat to get full coverage. I love the icy metallic look of this one and the fact that it's metallic silver but it's not a foil.

*I have gotten the four Zoya polishes in this post for review, for more information see my disclosure policy.

*Postauksen lakat on saatu arvioitaviksi.

Swatch Spam with Essie, China Glaze, I Love Nail Polish, Andreia and Inocos

This is a scheduled post as Im currently (hopefully) enjoying a little vacation. I'll answer your comments as soon as I get back, so feel free to comment as much as you want.

I have a swatch spam with quite random selection of polishes for you guys today!

Essie Sand Tropez, two coats with base and top coat.

I really love this one! It's a perfect sandy nude and it covered nicely with just two coats.

China Glaze Fancy Pants, 3 coats, no base or top coat.

I really loved this color, but the formula of this polish was just awful! I have gotter rid of this one quite some time ago already, because it was just horrible to apply and it bubbled and was thick and runny at the same time.

China Glaze White Cap, 2 coats with base and top coat.

This is a really gorgeous one! Of course it's not the best one to wear to alone if your nails are stained and yellow like mine, but I loved it anyhow! It has just so gorgeous shimmer in it and I'm sure it will look gorgeous layered too.

I Love Nail Polish Down Comforter, 3 coats with base and top coat.

This one is really pretty, though the holographic effect is so subtle that it was pretty much impossible to get it in the pictures. I think you can see at least some of it in this picture:
This is supposed to be a white holo, but it's not really a clean white, it's infact almost more grey than white. But it's still a gorgeous one and it was quite easy to work with too.

One coat of Andreia number 70 layered over a-england Avalon, no base or top coat.

I'm not the biggest fan of bar glitter, but this was so shiny that I quite liked it eventhough it has those bar glitters. I used only one coat here so you get a fair amount of glitter on nail with just one coat.

Inocos Maria Menina, two coats, no base or top coat

This is really a gorgeous, bright and fun color. The formula was really great too, so I enjoyed this one very much!

Lumene Brilliant Sand

This is a scheduled post as Im currently (hopefully) enjoying a little vacation. I'll answer your comments as soon as I get back, so feel free to comment as much as you want.

I have a quick post for you guys today with a gorgeous textured polish! I hope you aren't bored with these yet as I think this is quite a nice coloe and worth taking a look!

So this is a polish called Brilliant Sand from Lumene and I have two coats here with base coat but of course no top coat. If you aren't familiar with the brand Lumene is a Finnish makeup and skincare brand, quite a big brand here in Finland. Honestly, they usually make quite boring polishes and so I only own couple that have stand out to me colorwise. But lately they have been making an effort on keeping up with the trends by making some glitter polishes, toppers and a textured polish line. This one is of course from the textured line and I picked this up as it looked really gorgeous in the bottle and I didn't have a textured polish in a color like this before.

The quality with this one was pretty nice and this was easy to work with. However, it was a bit on the thick side and the brush is really chunky so applying it neatly especially on the pinky finger nails was a bit difficult. I do like wide brushes but the brush in these Lumene polishes is chunky overall, I'd prefer if it was a tad more flat.

Like I said, I really loved how this looked in the bottle and it looks quite gorgeous on nail too, but somehow some of that sparkle that you can see in the bottle doesn't really come out on nail. Of course it sparkles more that you can see in these pictures as pretty much all textured polishes with shimmer do, but it looks soooo gorgeous in the bottle and I wish it would have looked just like it on nail too.

*****

Little Hauls

This is a scheduled post as Im currently (hopefully) enjoying a little vacation. I'll answer your comments as soon as I get back, so feel free to comment as much as you want.

I have couple little hauls to show you guys today!

First off I got some Zoya Holiday Zenith polishes from the Finnish importer NailCity. These are Seraphina, Cassedy, Dream and Payton. I've already used Dream and Payton for some nail art, but I'll post proper swatches of these really soon! All four of these are really perfect holiday colors, but I'd say Dream is my ultimate favorite one.

I also bought some new KBShimmer winter polishes from Harlow&Co. These are Will Yule Marry Me?, I Only Have Ice For You and Myth You Lots. Unfortunately those snow flake polishes sold out so quickly that I could get neither of them, but I still managed to get these other three that I really wanted!

Lastly I bought/swapped these in our get-together, but I forgot to include them to those posts, so here they are. These are Orly Peaceful Opposition, China Glaze Glitter Goblin and I Herd That, IsaDora Mulberry Wine and Pistacchio and mini OPI called Into The Night.

Did I buy/get anything interesting? Anything that you'd like to see first?

*I have gotten the four Zoya polishes in this post for review, for more information see my disclosure policy.

Tänään vuorossa pieni ostospostaus! Zoyan lakat Seraphina, Cassedy, Dream ja Payton on saatu arvioitavaksi NailCitystä ja näistä onkin tulossa kunnolliset swatchit piakkoin. Kaikki näyttävät pullossa upeilta, mutta Dream on ehdottomasti minun suosikkini! Zoyan lakkoja voi muuten ostaa monilta jälleenmyyjiltä, NailCityn sivuilta löytyvät kaikki jälleenmyyntipaikat. Myös suoraan maahantuojalta voi ostaa lakkoja lähettämällä sähköpostia osoitteeseen info@nailcity.fi, lakkojen kappalehinta on 15,50 euroa.

KBShimmerin talviuutuuksista kotiutin kolme lakkaa: Will Yule Marry Me?, I Only Have Ice For You and Myth You Lots.

Lakat ovat siis: Orly Peaceful Opposition, China Glaze Glitter Goblin ja I Herd That, IsaDora Mulberry Wine ja Pistacchio sekä mini OPI nimeltään Into The Night.

31DC13 Day 20: Water Marble

I'm finally at the day 20 for the challenge and I get to post my water marble. I actually did this water marbling for the I Love Me -event over a month ago, but I was saving the mani for this challenge as I figured I probably wouldn't have time to do another proper water marbling mani for this challenge.

I used four different Essie polishes for this look: Blanc* as my base color and I did the actual marbling with Maximillian Strasse Her*, Naughty Nautical, Mind Your Mittens* and Blanc. I have the habbit of adding some sparkle to pretty much all my water marbling manicures and so I added some China Glaze Fairy Dust on top of the mani.

I really liked how this water marbling turned out. There are some smudges and some imperfections there, but I didn't mind those too much. I also got some compliments about this mani at the event, which is of course always nice!

Essie polishes work quite well for water marbling, but they dry out quite quickly so you can't really take too much time making the pattern. I think there are some other brands and polishes that I have tried that have worked even better for this, but at least these Essie polishes were managable.

I think these colors went really well together and eventhough I used polishes from spring and summer collection (one from winter too), I thought this was quite appropriate look for a fall manicure.

Here's a picture of all the polishes I used:

L'Oreal Grow Beautiful Base Coat
Essie Blanc
Essie Maximillian Strasse Her
Essie Naughty Nautical
Essie Mind Your Mittens
China Glaze Fairy Dust
Glisten&Glow HK Girl Top Coat

Here's the water marbling I did two years ago for this challenge:
I really really liked this one too! I just love the combinaton of gold and turquoise. You can check out the full post here.

*Essie Blanc, Maximillian Strasse Her, Naughty Nautical and Mind Your Mittens were originally sent for me to review, for more information see my disclosure policy.

Haaste jatkuu ja vuorossa päivä 20 ja vesimarmorointi. Pääsin vihdoin julkaisemaan I Love Me -messuja varten tekemäni kynnet, joita olen säästellyt tätä haastetta varten kun ajattelin etten kuitenkaan kerkiä tekemään uusia kunnollisia vesimarmorointeja tähän haasteeseen.

*Essie Blanc, Maximillian Strasse Her, Naughty Nautical and Mind Your Mittens on saatu alunperin arvioitaviksi.

Our Get-Together - What Was Inside of My Goodie Bag?

I have the last post about our get-together for you guys today and in this post I'm going to show you what was inside of my own goodie bag. We had once again quite amount of really generous sponsors and I included the links to their sites into the post just to help you guys find the products. I don't gain anything if you use those links.

And here's all the products I got from the goodie bag:
Oh my, so many awesome products! I really can't wait to try these all! I also included in this picture those products that Sokos gave us that I already told you about in this post. In addition to the amazing beauty presentation that they gave us, they also gave everyone a Trind polish (mine is color CC151), Biotherm Aquasource samples and some Trind nail care products (I got Nail Repair Matt).

Livbox gave us all their November boxes, which had some really interesting products in it! I have ordered three Livboxes for myself before and I quite liked the concept. There have been several boxes since that I would haave gladly had myself and this is certainly one of those. I'm really interested to try out all these products as they are all really my type of products and they are also from brands I have never tried before. The box included IdHAIR elements Fix It In Place Hairspray, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Peppy Galore Diva Cleasing Oil, Vichy Idéalia day cream and Cailap by Mariela Sarkima The Sponge -makeup sponge.

Sanna Tara Nail Art & Beauty Studio gave us all ten different colors of nail art tape. I only had couple different colors of nail art tape before this so I'm sure I'll easily find use for these!

Adenina gave us all some nail art studs and discount codes for their store. I have some studs already, but there are for example some hexagonal studs in this mix that I have never tried. Also those stars could be perfect for some Christmas nail art. In addition to these Adenina also gave us one Orly nail polish and four Bundle Monster plates, but unfortunately I didn't get any of those.

Consult Lady gave us all one China Glaze Magnetix nail polish and the Magnetix magnet. I got the color called You Move Me, which isn't really my type of color judging from the bottle, but we'll see how I will like it when I try it out. I already had one China Glaze magnet, but luckily this has some different patterns in it, so I'm interested to try them out. In addition to these Consult Lady also gave us all Dr. Spiller scincare samples and two Mirabella Mineral makeup gift bags to raffle.

We all also got one Naturel 3in1 Gel Polish and Naturel Cleanser For Gel Nail Polish from Kauneutta.com. I have never tried any gel polishes before, but maybe now I can get this fixed. The polish I got is number 13, quite gorgeous looking pink.

The other China Glaze polish here in the middle of the picture is from MiMax who sent us the twelve polishes from China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze collection and three Orly Matte FX polishes. I got the amazingly bright blue called So Blue Without You.

Recently I have added quite a few of blue polishes in my stash but I don't have anything like this one! It looks really bright and fun in the bottle, so I can't wait to try it on.

L'Oreal Finland sent us all on package of Essie Sleek Stick nail stickers in color 03 So Haute!. I have tried couple different nail stickers before, but I have never tried Essie ones. These are really the perfect style for Christmas, so I think I'm going to save them for little later.

We all got also either one Seventeen polish or Catherine Arley polish that were sent to us by beautycosmetic.biz. I got a white Seventeen polish number 103. They also gave us couple of Mr. Nail polishes, but those unfortunately went to someone else.

Mereneid gave us all nail stickers, nail art glitter, nail files and either a base coat, a top coat or a cuticle oil. We got those base coats from our previous meeting too and I really liked it, so I just while ago bought another for myself. Now I have another one in storage, which is nice. I also got that top coat from the previous meeting and I loved that one too as it dryes really fast, so I'd say these Mereneid products are really great option and they are really not too expensive.

Berner sponsored us with IsaDora and Rimmel products. I was going to have to buy a new mascara really soon, so I'm happy to try out that IsaDora Mascara Volume 2.0 as I have never tried any of their mascaras before. From Rimmel we all got a Salon Pro Nail Polish and Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Paint. The polish I got is called Grape Sorbet and the eye shadow is called Manganese Purple. The eye shadow looks especially intriguing:

This is also something I have never tried before so I'll probably have to do some learning so that I can apply this neatly. But the color is really gorgeous, so I'm happy to try this out!

Last but not least I managed to pick a present that had Lush Tiny Hands solid hand cream inside it. I've never tried any solid hand creams before and I do love Lush products, so I'm really interested to try this one out! It has quite a strong smell, but it's probably something I can live with. Lush also gave us one Celebrate body lotion to raffle.

Cosmerya sent us some discount codes, some Lavera hand creams and some Universal Nails and Cuccio Colors nail polishes, but I unfortunately didn't get any of those.

Polishinail also sent us some discount codes and I'll show you later what I got with that as just did my order couple days ago and it hasn't yet arrived.

Blippo made our lives a bit sweeter by sending us some candy and keychains.

And like I told you before EFFECT generously sponsored the prize for our little nail art contest.

Finally, I'd like to thank all our lovely sponsors for all the products they sent us! They were all really generous and I'm sure everyone got plenty of interesting products to try out.

Our Manicures for the Get-Together

I of course also want to share my mani for the get-together with you guys, but I also thought it would be once again fun to share manis from other participants too. I'll start with my own mani first, but be sure to check out the end of this post too to see all those awesome manis that other participants had made.

As I told you before we had a Christmas theme for the get-together. I immediately knew that I wanted to do something wintery and snowy as I'm kinda hoping it would snow already! I also really wanted to use Zoya Dream as it looked so gorgeous in the bottle and I thought it would be a perfect polish for winter themed mani. I had some water marbling ideas but they didn't turn out so great, so I then decided just to go with some water decals.

I started this mani with two coats of the gorgeous Zoya Dream, then I applied the white water decals that I have bought myself from Born Pretty Store. I thought these close enough for being some kind of ice crystals. I also added some KBShimmer I Only Have Ice For You on top of the decals to make then sparkle like ice and then finished the mani with some swarovski crystals.

I have gotten Zoya Dream for review, but you can't really see too much of it here, can you... I'm going to post some proper swatches of it and some other Zoya holiday polishes soon, so stay tuned!

I was a bit bummed to cover that gorgeous polish so much with the decals, but I did like the overall result! Actually, I got the second place in our little nail art competition at the get-together with these nails, so not bad, right?!

L'Oreal Grow Beautiful Base Coat
 Zoya Dream 2 coats
water decals
KBShimmer I Only Have Ice For You (on top of the decals)
swarovski crystals
Glisten&Glow HK Girl Top Coat

And like I promised, here are that the other's had done for the event. I have also included the links for their blogs (if they have one), so if you click the name you'll get there. If the girls have already posted about their nails in their own blog I have also included that link, just click the word nails. I think everyone had done great job making their mani suit to the theme!

Lakkasin siis kynsiin kaksi kerrosta tuota upeaa sinistä lakkaa, lykkäsin päälle Born Pretty Storesta ostamani water decalsit, joiden päälle töpötin hieman KBShimmerin I Only Have Ice For You -lakkaa ja viimeistelin lookin kristalleilla.
