Beauty Presentation at Sokos

Like I told you yesterday, our get-together with nail polish bloggers and enthusiasts started with a really interesting beauty presentation that was provided to us by a local department store Sokos Joensuu. This was really a great addition to our event and we got to hear a great deal about beauty products, new nail products and current seasonal looks.

The two beauty specialists from Sokos gave us a great presentation of all the products and they also demonstrated two eye make-up looks for two of our participants. They had also provided us little snacks, coffee and juice, which was also really nice!

I don't know if you all are familiar with the brand Lumene, but it's a Finnish make-up and skincare brand and lately they have really made the effort of keeping up with the trends. The polishes that you can see here are their new textured line.

I'm not really any good with make-up stuff and especially eye make-up is always really hard for me! So it was really nice to see a professional doing this. Silja was our brave volunteer and she got the eye make-up look with IsaDora's Pink Smokey Eyes palette. I thought this look was really gorgeous, I wish I would be able do to the same, but somehow when I try something like this, I always end up with a mess. Because of that it was really great to hear that Sokos offers free beauty guidance, so I'll definately book an appointment for that and maybe then I will learn how to do this.

They also showed us some nail polish sets that are great Christmas present ideas. I actually went to Sokos yesterday too to take a look at these sets and others more carefully and they had quite a selection of make-up, skincare, nail polish and many other sets, so there's definately some great gift ideas there!
Essie had this really cute set of two polishes and a nail file that I was particularly interested in. The set was only 19,90€ (one Essie polish costs normally something like 15€ here in Finland) and you of course get those wider brush versions and a handy nail file. They have two nail polish sets, one with Cute As A Button and Ballet Slippers and one with Chinchilly and Sugar Daddy. Also there was another set with a base coat and a top coat, but I think that was slightly more expensive. Unfortunately I already own Cute As A Button as otherwise that would have probably been in my wishlist of Christmas presents.

Also a great gift idea would be that IsaDora's sugar crush and lipgloss set. There is at least this pink version and one with silver too, and these cost only 9,90€ per set, which I think is a really fair price for this.

Alessandro's Striplac Peel Off UV/LED Nail Polish Starte Kit was a new product for me. This package comes with everything you'll need for the mani and it's currently on sale for 99€ at Sokos webstore, here.

IsaDora's holiday Shine Bright make-up look was one of the seasonal looks that was presented to us. Like I said, I'm not that good with all that make-up stuff, but I really liked those Twist-Up Metallic Eye Pens that we got to try. Especially the black one was something I have to consider buying.

The look has also couple new nail polishes called Angel Wings and Crown Jewel, the latter one looked really interesting in the bottle. Also there are two IsaDora Sugar Crush polishes included. Gold Crush and Diamond Crush aren't new ones, but they are still really pretty and very suitable for the holiday look.

So overall I enjoyed this presentation so much and I hope it gave us all some inspiration, at least I got some! It was so amazing that Sokos was willing to do this type of thing for us, so big thanks yet again to them! I think I can speak for all us if I say that this was really great!

In addition to all this they also gave us something to take with us! We all got a set of Biotherm samples and one Trind polish. There was also some Trind nail care products for us.
I got Trind Nail Repair Matt which is a non gloss nailstrengthener. I'm really interested to try this and I'll let you know what I think about it after I have used it for a while! I got the nail polish in color CC151 which is quite suitable shimmer color for the holiday season too.

I think I have never tried any Biotherm products before, so I'm also really interested to test these out too. That Aquasource Eye Perfector seems particularly interesting as it has that roll-on type of applicator.

    1. Thank you! :)

Yeah, Essies are expensive here like pretty much everything else too. That's why I bought couple of them while visiting St. Petersburg.

I think it's quite sweet that Lumene is trying to keep up with the trends as they haven't really done that before. :)
