China Glaze Strawberry Fields

Tomorrow it's already June, so summer is really here. That's why I wanted to wear China Glaze Strawberry Fields, it is truly a summer polish. I've shown it here in my blog before, but that was quite some time ago, so I decided to post this again with some (hopefully) better pictures.

This is really one of those polishes that I have to wear each year when spring turns to summer. It's really a bit shame that I have quite many awesome polishes, but I rarely get to wear them, because there's also always something new waiting too. But then again, there's also so many pretty new polishes that I can't wait to wear...

Tell me, what's your favourite summer polish (or polishes)?

Orly Oui

I've told you already how much I love Zoya Faye, so of coure I had to get its purple cousin Orly's Oui. And what a beauty it is!

Oh my, Oui is really gorgeous, I'm so glad I finally have it. I do have many purple polishes, but nothing like this. The quality was really good too, this was a bit sheer like these type of polishes tend to be, but it builds up nicely. As I've said before, polishes with gold shimmer don't usually work well with my skintone, but this (and Faye) don't have that problem. I think everyone should have this, or at least one of it's look-alikes.

Marimekko Unikko

During the 31 Day Challenge I did these Marimekko Unikko inspired nails and I wanted to do them again, just with some different colors. Also this time I wanted the flowers to be a bit bigger, so this is what I came up with:

This time I wanted to use a bright base color and then do the flowers with something more subtle. I think this design is really fun and easy to do and there's endless amount of color combinations that you can use. And like I said, this is so easy to do, you just need a dotting tool (or something similar) and some nice colors to go together and that's about it.

China Glaze Riveting

Today I have just a quick post with one awesome orange for you, take a look!

I think this is something that you all have seen already many many times, but I think it is worth of posting still. This is of course China Glaze Riveting, from their Hunger Games inspired collection. There probably no need to say this, but I really love this one. It is so juicy and bright, really it's an awesome color. I wore this almost a week straight and now looking at these pics I feel like I should wear it again. Well, it is a perfect color for summer too, so maybe I will wear it soon again.

White & Blue

So as many of you (hopefully) know Finland is in the top 4 in the ice hockey world championships, so of course I had to make some white & blue nails to support our team. I didn't want to do traditional flags or something like that, so I decided to do some drag marbling with the colors of our flag.

I used China Glaze White Out for the base color and then did the drag marbling with Color Club Cold Metal. I also wanted to add one rhinestone to each nail, just to get something extra.

Do you guys watch the ice hockey world championships? What do you think, which team will win?

Blue/green water marble

I really like water marbled nails, but I don't do them as often as I would like as it takes some time and it's also quite messy. But the other day I decided that it was time to do some water marble nails again and this time I tried to a little different pattern. I think this turned out to be a quite nice mani, or what do you think?

So I used only China Glaze polishes for this marble. I started with White Out as my base for the water marble and used Custom Kicks, Re-Fresh Mint and again White Out for the actual water marbling. Then I also added a coat of Fairy Dust to make it sparkle. I really loved these colors together, they looked really clean and bright.
